Worldwide nanotechnology programs

Study Nanotechnology

There are many countries with universities offering nanotechnology degrees.  Because nanotechnology is so new, universities around the world are just beginning to offer programs for undergraduates and graduate students. Some programs are offered in conjunction with an engineering degree, or or an optional concentration within an engineering or science degree.  Some fields that offer joint programs may include chemistry, physics, bioengineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, biochemistry, genome sciences, physiology and biophysics, and microbiology.

Some universities offer Ph.D. options in Nanotechnology – where students have an opportunity to obtain a “dual degree” — a Ph.D. in both their home department discipline and nanotechnology.  This is an exciting, explicitly interdisciplinary exploration for students interested in nanoscale phenomena.

Nanotechnology Programs:

The following is a short list of universities offering nanotechnology education throughout the world. This list includes programs with ”Nanotechnology” in the program name.  There are other programs available as concentrations in a wide range of fields which also offer training in nanotechnology.

Degrees include Bachelor of Science in Nanotechnology, Master of Science in Nanotechnology, and PhD in Nanotechnology.  This is not meant to be a complete list; you should check with your local university to see what options might be available to you.  If you are seeking a broader list of accredited engineering programs, visitTryEngineering.org.
