US: Student/Intern

There is an intern position open in the Central Microfabrication lab at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown, NY. The Microfabrication lab provides a dynamic environment and has the mission of providing solutions to leading edge projects within the Research Division and IBM. This team has an excellent record of contributing to innovations and successful IBM products. 

In this position, the intern will interact with technical teams covering a wide spectrum of projects. The intern will be responsible for contributing to projects through device fabrication process design, CAD, materials development, and development of new fabrication processes. Currently, the Microfabrication lab is working with teams in nanotechnology, advanced semiconductor packaging, advanced optical lithography, photovoltaics and optoelectronics.

Applicants to for this position must be highly motivated and possess excellent team skills. Candidates must be working toward at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry or physics.

Required
  • At least 6 months experience in Laboratory experience
  • English: Intermediate
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Laboratory experience
