In practical applications, nanomaterials have not achieved the super attributes or science fiction-like performance projected of them. Xolve, an early stage nanomaterials company, has solved the singular performance problem that has prevented this and made these materials cheaper to produce and to apply.
Xolve’s mission is to be a high-value supplier of technical solutions and materials for the industrial advanced materials and products markets by fundamentally changing the price/performance ratios of nanomaterials across a wide range of industrial applications. Xolve’s technology will trigger a revisiting of the entire field of nanomaterials, facilitating applications previously thought impossible and others that have failed due to the cost of these materials in their current state. The Company will sell this technology into the markets of coatings, composite materials and energy–markets that currently exceed over $4 billion in nanomaterials and that are growing rapidly.
About the Position:
The Product Development Leader will lead the technical effort of this early stage nanomaterials company to apply its game changing technology to applications in the transparent conductive and anti-corrosive coating and energy storage market segments. It is Xolve’s belief that its technology will be successful in changing both the price and performance characteristics of applications of nanomaterials in architectural glass, solar panels and solar cells, and in advanced battery and ultracapacitor products. Xolve believes that its technology will fundamentally change the entire market for these market applications. If you are an experienced Technical Leader with expertise in the coatings or energy sector who enjoys early stage opportunities and are excited about bringing commercial application to new and exciting technologies, this could be the opportunity for you! This is a unique opportunity to build your own product team of technical professionals to work with industry partners to utilize Xolve’s groundbreaking technology to develop products and processes.
Qualifications:
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Physics
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technical leader in commercial product and process development in Coatings or Advanced Battery Technologies. For example, direct experience developing transparent conductive coatings in architectural glass, solar panels or flat panel display applications would be preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading a development team with a history of successful product launches in the conductive coatings or energy storage market segments.
- Experience in project and team management.
- Ability to apply advanced technology to new product development initiatives with industry or development partners to develop commercial applications.
- Demonstrated record of creative problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team with both internal and external team members.
Relocation to Madison, Wisconsin, will be required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
