Postdoctoral Position in Computational Nanotechnology

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in an Office of Naval Research project on multiscale modeling and simulation of polymer nanocomposites for shock-wave mitigation. The project is in very close collaboration with the groups of Prof. Sia Nemat- Nasser at UC San Diego, Prof. Zhibin Guan at UC Irvine, and Prof. Ted Belytschko at Northwestern.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in the computational sciences and extensive experience in statistical mechanics, molecular dynamics and/or Monte Carlo simulations, computer programming, and polymer simulations.

Interested applicants should send in a brief statement of their research interests and career goals, CV with publications, and three letters of recommendation to Prof. Gaurav Arya at garya@ucsd.edu.
