Job Description:
Building on your training and expertise in cardiac regenerative medicine and bionanotechnology, your independent research in the Costa Laboratory will focus on developing a nanoparticle based gene delivery platform for inducing cardiomyocyte proliferation and repair in a 3D engineered cardiac tissue model system.  This research is part of the existing Program of Excellence in Nanotechnology (PEN) contract funded by the NIH/NHLBI. Your responsibilities will also include attending weekly lab meetings and assisting Dr. Costa with preparing for related PEN meetings, training and supervising new students, preparing related manuscripts, and developing new grant proposals as appropriate.
