US: Postdoctoral Fellow, Nanotechnology

POST DOCTORAL FELLOW, NANOTECHNOLOGY
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position, which is available immediately at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team that is involved in utilization of nanoparticles as a drug delivery carrier and imaging probes. The successful candidate will support drug discovery efforts as a member of PRI. Responsibilities will include synthesis of polymeric/inorganic nanoparticles incorporating various drugs/imaging probes and their characterization by using TEM, DLS, SEM etc. A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or relevant area, and previous experience involving nanoparticles synthesis and characterization is required. Basic knowledge in biology is desired.
