US: Postdoctoral Appointee, Center for Nanoscale Materials

Responsible for the design, implementation, and development of nanometer scale X-ray optics using nanofabrication techniques; use modeling to support experimental work, and for reporting relevant results in an appropriate form.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Considerable
Considerable knowledge of the application of techniques suitable for nanofabrication technology for optics or related high-aspect ratio nanostructures.
Considerable skill in designing, modeling, and implementing of nanofabrication process technology.
Considerable experience in one or more of the following processes: e-beam lithography, chemical mechanical polishing, electroforming, reactive ion etching, and electron microscopy.
Considerable skill in understanding abstract concepts and independently synthesizing results within the current experimental and theoretical framework.
Good
Good skill in oral and written communication.
Some
Some knowledge of application of X-ray optics.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Years Since Ph.D. — 0-1, 1-2, 2-3
