A position exists for a Senior Research Associate to work on research orientation: applied mathematics for bio-and nanotechnology, multiscale modeling, kinetic equations, partial differential equation modeling, numerical simulations and analysis as part of the KAUST Global Research Partnership under the direction of Professor Peter Markowich from 1 September 2010. The Global Research Partnership (GRP) is a research funding program focused on discovery and innovation in areas of science and technology.
Candidates should already have post-doctoral experience and an extensive scientific background in the theory of nonlinear partial differential equations, with focus on nonlinear kinetic theory. Experience – demonstrated by high level publications – with kinetic systems are a prerequisite.
