An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NPL’s dynamic Surface and Nanoanalysis Group. The applicant will support activities in nanoparticle measurement, working on industrially and environmentally relevant nanomaterials with an emphasis on detection and measurement at interfaces.

The position would suit a graduate (2.1 minimum) of physics, chemistry, or a related subject, with an interest in nanotechnology, who enjoys learning new skills as part of a world-leading team. Responsibilities will include delivery of internal R&D programmes and external contract research and measurements. Good report writing skills and fluency in the English language are essential.

This is a two-year fixed-term post. Candidates will be considered for permanent positions that arise during this period or thereafter.
