Duties and Responsibilities
The London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) is the leading UK laboratory dedicated specifically to nanoscience research. We are seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to work on the growth, microfabrication, and electrical characterization of nanostructured materials and nanoscale devices in external magnetic fields. The range of materials and devices to be studied will complement existing research at the LCN, and will encompass both organic and inorganic films. The applicant will be expected to maintain and operate the dilution refrigerator and the PPMS, and to generally facilitate nanoelectronics research at the LCN.
The position is funded by EPSRC initially for one year.
The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent in the Sciences or Engineering or at least have submitted their thesis. He/She will also have expertise in designing, building, and operating complex nanoelectronics experiments, expertise in working with cryogens, cryogenic cooling systems, and superconducting magnets and also in epitaxial thin film growth.
Informal enquiries may be made to Miss Nipa Patel (email@example.com).
If you are unable to apply online please contact Ms. Denise Ottley, London Centre for Nanotechnology, 17-19 Gordon Street, London WC1H 0AH or email firstname.lastname@example.org
