South Kensington Campus A fixed term post for 12 months in the first instance Applications are invited for a Research Associate to work on a project aimed at developing new scaffolds for tissue engineering and investigating cell response to the biomaterials designed to influence cell behaviour and differentiation. This post will be held within the Departments of Bioengineering and Materials at Imperial College London in the group of Professor Molly Stevens. You will be a conscientious, innovative experimental scientist who has successfully completed a PhD (or equivalent) in biomaterials, tissue engineering, cell biology or a similar field. Experience in the following areas is desirable: • Development of biomaterials for tissue engineering, characterisation of biomaterials for tissue engineering, iPS or mesenchymal stem cells or other cells, cell differentiation • Previous Research Associate level experience and a proven publication record. You will work within a team of dynamic students and researchers in newly refurbished laboratories on the South Kensington Campus and have extensive interaction with several academic collaborators. In addition to the state-of-the-art facilities within the department you will also have access to the facilities at the new London Center for Nanotechnology. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
