Summary:

As part of a European Research Council award we are looking to recruit a Post-doctoral Research Associate who will be part of a multidisciplinary group lead by Prof. Giuseppe Battaglia (http://battaglia.group.shef.ac.uk) working at the interface between soft nanotechnology and biomedical science. The successful candidate will be part of a group of 3 post-doctoral researchers working toward the supramolecular engineering of virus-like nanoparticles for gene cancer therapy.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Polymer Chemistry, Biomaterials, or similar. The ideal candidate should have experience in controlled polymerisation techniques, copolymers self-assembly and their characterisation including biological assessment such as biocompatibility assays and cell internalisation studies.  Post-doctoral experience in Biomaterial synthesis and characterisation would also be an advantage.
