Admission requirement:

The requirements for the Postgraduate Certificate comprise:
A minimum requirement of a first degree in a mathematical or physical sciences discipline, e.g. mathematics, materials science, physics, chemistry, or engineering, or an equivalent level of demonstrable skills as a result of training.

Alternatively, students will have some practical experience in related fields. This experience would be demonstrated by publications or approximately five years of employment in a related field.

£6000 (limited number of bursaries available)

Study form:

Each module can be studied independently as a stand-alone course, or taken together to lead to an Oxford University Postgraduate Certificate in Nanotechnology. Students are taught entirely online. Tutors provide online support and replicate the Oxford tutorial system electronically. Assessment throughout the modules ensures that students can monitor their progress. The flexible delivery of the material makes the course ideal for those in full-time employment. At the conclusion of module 3, students attend a residential weekend where they gain practical hands-on experience on the use of characterization methodologies in Nanotechnology.
