The appointment will be on UCL Grade Professorial. The salary range will be Lecturer Grade 7: £35,415 – £38,441 per annum or Grade 8: £39,510-£46,635 per annum Senior Lecturer / Reader Grade 9: £50,700 – £55,142 per annum. Professor: negotiable on the professorial scale but not less than £61,713 per annum. The salary is inclusive of London Allowance.
Duties and Responsibilities: University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint an outstanding, self motivated individual who will exploit the potential of nanotechnology for electronics and/or photonics. The appointment will be at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader or Professor level and will be a joint appointment between the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) and the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE). The London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) (www.london-nano.com) is an interdisciplinary and multi-faculty research centre that has recently been established on the UCL and Imperial College campuses. It draws together researchers from the fields of physical sciences and engineering with those from the life sciences and medicine.
Key Requirements: The post-holder will be expected to provide intellectual leadership and conduct a world-class research programme in her/his area of research, to contribute to the teaching programme in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (www.ee.ucl.ac.uk), and to perform the normal administrative duties expected of a member of academic staff, as required by the LCN Director and the Head of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
