Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Objective
The goal of the program is to provide research opportunity and career development for scholars. This will increase the number of professionals whose work would enhance the diversity of the academic community and drive forces to deliver research outcomes, which are beneficial to Thailand. The program aims to support individuals who hold a doctorate mainly in the fields of Nanotechnology.

Eligibility

* Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree (within 5 years post-PhD from the time of application submission) or will do so prior to commencing fellowship
* Awards will be made for study in the following major disciplines and related interdisciplinary fields: Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Cosmeceutical.
* Applicants must be able to engage in full-time postdoctoral research for the period of the award

Fields of Research
Applicants must have conducted research work in the following areas:

1. Development of nanocatalysts for biofuel production

- Chemical engineering science

- Heterogeneous catalysis: acid/base or metal catalysts

- Biofuels

2. Nano-simulation for photocatalyst system

- Computational physics

- Computational chemistry

3. Formulation development of cream containing nanoparticles of antihistamine herbal extract

- Micro encapsulation

- Emulsion technology

- Cosmetic sciences

4. Controlled release fertilizer

- Chemical analysis

- Microencapsulation

- Agricultural sciences

Number of Awards
Four successful candidates would be sponsored to work at NANOTEC under the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
