The purpose of the International Conference on "NT Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety: Research to Practice" is to advance this emerging field with respect to: the protection and promotion of worker safety and health in nanomanufacturing enterprises/environment and consumer public health, and the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases through the use of NT.

Long description

I would like to invite you to exhibit at the International Conference on Nanotechnology Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety: Research to Practice. The purpose of the International Conference on "NT Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety: Research to Practice" is to advance this emerging field with respect to: the protection and promotion of worker safety and health in nanomanufacturing enterprises/environment and consumer public health, and the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases through the use of NT.

The International Conference on Nanotechnology Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety: Research to Practice will be held December 4-7, 2006, at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Enclosed is an Exhibitor contract and floor plan for the exhibit hall. If you would like to be represented in the exhibit hall, please complete and return the exhibitor contract with deposit, indicating three different choices of booth space. If all of your choices are not available, you will be placed in the next closest booth to those choices. Booths are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be assigned without deposit.

Long description

The Nanoelectronics Laboratory is directed by Dr. Andrew J. Steckl, Ohio Eminent Scholar and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gieringer Professor of Solid State Microelectronics. Founded in 1988, the NanoLab is a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Cincinnati. The majority of the NanoLab is located in 910 Rhodes Hall. Within in this location a class 1000 clean room is located along with office and computing space. The rest of the NanoLab is located adjacent to 910 Rhodes and consists of a room dedicated to semiconductor characterization techniques and a room for 3 more student offices. Pictured to the right is the NanoLab conference room, with the clean room and MBE in the background. The NanoLab has a variety of computing resources for students disposal consisting of several Mac's (bottom right), over a dozen PC's and a SGI workstation. Indeed these resources are well used by the NanoLab students. Most of the student offices are located in 910 Rhodes such as the desk pictured to the left. Having offices, cleanroom and computing resources integrated in one location provides convenience to students. This along with a diverse spectrum of student backgrounds and focuses allows an efficient and exciting approach to daily research. The Nanoelectronics Laboratory personnel consists of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and professional staff, with an average group size of 12-15 individuals. External research support is provided by various industrial organizations and state and federal government agencies, including Ohio Edison Materials Technology Center, Army Research Office, Cray Research Corp., Universal Energy Systems Co., Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Office of Naval Research, National Science Foundation.
