This 11th session of MIGAS is devoted to: "Nanoscale CMOS and Si-based Beyond CMOS Nanodevices"

This school is addressed to PhD students, engineers and researchers coming both from the university and from industry of the semiconductors.

NT-MDT will participate in the Spring 2008 ACS National Meeting & Exposition in New Orleans, LA, USA, April 6th to10th . During the ACS exhibition, NT-MDT will debut their newest product innovation the Solver Next, the first general-purpose SPM automated for ease-of-use at any user level. The system offers complete automation, intelligent software and ergonomic design making this general-purpose SPM acceptable for state-of-the-art scientific laboratories and multi user facilities.

The Nano-Net conference positions itself at the intersection of two worlds, namely, emerging nano-technologies on one-side, and network/communication theory on the other side. The standing question that this conference will address is: What are the new communication paradigms that derive from the transition from micro- to nano-scale devices? The related degrees of freedom and constraints associated with these new technologies will change our notions about efficient network and system design. Nano-Net provides a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion of new techniques in modeling, design, simulation, and fabrication of network and communication systems at the nano-scale.

On the 9th of January, 2008 NanoVision Center’s opening took place at Queen Mary of London University and this event has been widely covered by British and international mass media (BBC, Daily Mirror, British Satellite News etc.).
The ceremony was opened by Professor Nigel Brown, the head of university, who has solemnly cut the nanoribbon which was specially made with Quanta 3D device (FEI Company).
