All our products use silver nano-technology, whereby minute particles of silver (about one hundredth of a micron) are infused into fabrics using a process that ensures the particles will not wash out.

Our patented, scientifically tested , cotton and wool blend socks contain microscopic (nano) particles of 99.99% pure silver. Sweat and moisture cause the silver to electrolyse creating silver nano ions (Ag+) that destroy the fungi and bacteria that cause foot odor.

Apparently what happens is that the Ag+ ion steals an electron from the bacteria, thus killing it and then miraculously turns the ion back into a silver atom. That's why the silver effect does not wear off and why bacteria haven't come up with an effective defence. Interestingly, bacteria, that are becoming resistant to man made antibiotics, have not become resistant to the silver bullet effect of silver nano ions. Since silver has been around for millions of years it's unlikely bacteria will ever become resistant to it and even more unlikely that silver will ever endanger the environment or our health.
