Sigma-Aldrich(TM) is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Nanoco Technologies, Ltd., a nano-materials company based in Manchester, UK, to distribute luminescent quantum dot nanocrystals globally. Under the terms of the agreement, Sigma-Aldrich will distribute research quantities (less than 1 g) of seven core-shell semiconductor quantum dots through the Aldrich(R) Materials Science initiative of its Research Specialties business. The nanocrystals will be marketed and distributed under the brand name Lumidots(TM).

On July 12, 2007, Ormecon’s CEO Dr. Bernhard Wessling presented the company’s new development, ORGANIC METAL NANOFINISH. This will be a new solderable surface finish for printed circuit boards. The presentation took place in a conference organized by the PCB machine manufacturer Gebr. Schmid, on occasion of the opening of their new world R+D centre in Freudenstadt / Germany. Over 300 people had followed Schmid’s invitation to the conference and the centre opening.
