The debut of UNAM Ensenada’s Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology marks the trend of newly inaugurated departments focused on nanotechnology in universities around the world. At UNAM Ensenada this announcement ties into an overall vision for the region that includes vinculation, innovation and economic sustainability through industrial applications of breakthrough technology.
