Ionic liquids can also be used as a solvent and stabilizer for preparation of inorganic nanoparticles, enabling the control of particles size-growth. They can also be utilized as dispersion media  for nanoparticles or as solvent for electrodeposition of nanocrystalline films of a wide range of metals that can not be electrodeposited from aqueous solutions. The expertise of IoLiTec is complemented by the company’s close collaborations with various institutes of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and a number of leading research groups at universities in Germany and abroad.&lt;br /&gt;
IoLiTec’s services include consulting and feasibility studies as well as the development of marketable products and applications based on ionic liquids, nanomaterials or the combination of both materials in new technologies. The use of ionic liquids in nanomaterial technologies has already shown important advantages in the last years and is still being investigated by academies and industries.
