Currently, there are 233 million registered automotive vehicles & over 200 million licensed drivers in the United States. Up until now, there has always been a lack of innovative automotive chemical products. With the current state of the world, green products are highly sought after, yet there are few green products available. If given a choice, more than 10% (and growing) of American consumers would choose a comparable environmentally-friendly product over their favorite brand.

Our innovative Size Exclusion (SEC) phase derives from a unique proprietary surface chemistry process which results in a uniform polymer chains covalently bonded on the silica surface. Such a uniform stationary phase is neutral and hydrophilic, which has negligible nonspecific interactions with biological molecules, especially proteins. This special coating renders SepaxNanofilm SEC columns very stable, with high selectivity and high efficiency separations at very low salt concentration, provides the best solution for protein, nucleotide, nanoparticle and carbon nanotube separations. Using both porous and non-porous silica and polymer beads as supporting materials, Sepax's ion exchange phase is coated with a layer of controlled thickness of hydrophylic polymer, which is then bonded a desired functional ion-exchange group. This structure design results in a uniformly coated media with high ionic density and minimal non-specific interaction for proteins, thus provides a very stable chromatography phase with extremely high separation efficiency (>100,000 plates/50mm for lysozyme).

Sepax Technologies has developed a proprietary surface coating technology, which initiates polymerization reaction right and only on the surface, thus allows us to coat the thinnest available capillary column (down to 5mm in I.D.) from the market place. Our unique process allows us to coat a controlled thickness from 1 to 50 nm on internal surface of a capillary column uniformly, with selective neutral, cationic or anionic polymer layer. These coated capillary columns with controlled or reversed EOF provides a very reliable and highly efficiency (N >1.5x106/m for 20mm ID column) tool for Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), which has widely application in high-throughput analysis, such as proteomics.
