The Lifeboat Foundation is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, dedicated to ensuring that humanity adopts the powerful technologies of genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics safely as we move towards the Singularity. This humanitarian organization is pursuing all possible options, including relinquishment when feasible (we are against the U.S. government posting the recipe for the 1918 flu virus on the internet), and helping accelerate the development of defensive technologies including anti-biological virus technology, active nanotechnological shields, and self-sustaining space colonies in case the other defensive strategies fail.

US Global Nanospace, Inc. is a leading material sciences company developing anti-ballistic materials for security, airborne and defense applications based upon proprietary nanotechnology and photo chemistry expertise. US Global is a public company (OTCBB Symbol: USGA) based in Carson City, Nevada.
G-Lam is USGN's patented anti-ballistic material with half the weight and twice the strength of competitive offerings. G-Lam is a nano-fiber material created with a patented computer-designed weaving process that results in a crimp-free material with superior tensile performance. Excessive fiber crimping results in a rapid fall-off in woven material strength.

USGN designs the G-Lam nano-scale weave to address specific ballistic threats. G-Lam is moldable with very strong shape memory which makes it suitable for wide array of applications. USGA is working with manufacturers to integrate G-Lam into new designs for anti-ballistic building materials, shaped body armor, vehicle and aircraft protective panels, shelters, fuel tanks, cargo containers, munitions cases and mailboxes.

USGN's Guardian anti-ballistic cockpit security door was the first commercial product to incorporate G-Lam. The Guardian Door weighs only 40 pounds, can be installed overnight and has the highest ballistic and decompression ratings as required by the FAA, which has mandated that all US commercial passenger aircraft must be retrofitted with fortified anti-ballistic cockpit doors by the end of 2003. The Guardian door is currently undergoing US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Phase 5 STC testing.

USGN recently launched the S.A.G. ('Save A Gunner') Armored Turret System for mounting on High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV), of which there are currently over 150,000 deployed around the world. The S.A.G. Turret weighs less than 200 pounds and offers significant ballistic protection to exposed personnel.

Our primary mission is to develop nano-fabrication, advanced lithography and precision engineering technology for building high performance space instrumentation, including x-ray telescopes and high resolution x-ray spectrometers, magnetospheric imagers and solar physics instrumentation.

The company's mission is simple: to build the first elevator to space. Towards that goal, the team at LiftPort Group is partnering with universities, research labs, and private businesses to develop the necessary technologies and capabilities. The subject of research for more than a century, the space elevator is a unique way to ferry cargo and people into space. Recent advances in technology, most notably the development of carbon nanotube composites, now make building a space elevator feasible. Final research reports on building the space elevator that draw upon these discoveries have now been completed. As proposed in these reports, the space elevator will consist of a carbon nanotube composite ribbon stretching some 62,000 miles from earth to space. The elevator will be anchored to an offshore sea platform near the equator in the Pacific Ocean, and to a small counterweight in space. Mechanical lifters will move up and down the ribbon, carrying such items as satellites, solar power systems, and eventually people into space. LiftPort's mission is to take the concept from the research laboratory to commercial
development.

The LiftPort Carbon R&D effort is multi-pronged. LPC has established relationships with a number of universities and research centers. We have also attracted interest from several venture capital funds. In Q2 of 2004 we expect to set up our first carbon nanotube development and testing lab. In addition, LiftPort Carbon has established a relationship with the Canadian consulate, and is working towards creating a carbon nanotube research center in Victoria, British Columbia.
