FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…………………

XetaComp Receives Second ONAP Award

Edmond, OK (April 23, 2008): A two-year $344,800 grant has been awarded to XetaComp Nanotechnology LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NanoBioMagnetics, Inc., (NBMI) through the Oklahoma Nanotechnology Applications Program (ONAP). The program is administered by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST).
The grant was one of the two largest among $1.25 million in state funds awarded to eight Oklahoma companies active in nanotechnology. XetaComp also had been awarded a $250,000 grant in the first Oklahoma Nanotechnology Applications Project awards last year.
XetaComp, with offices and manufacturing facilities in Lawton, Oklahoma, was established by NBMI in 2006 to develop and market a range of functionalized nanomaterials. The company’s initial commercial target is a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB physical sunscreen on which a line of dermal care products are based and are now being introduced under the sunVex® trademark as cancer prevention tools. The technology for sunVex® is based on a proprietary nanofabrication process that yields a surface-treated titanium dioxide nanomaterial. The company’s technology offers the marketplace high-performance UVA/UVB attenuation together with cost-effective economics.
Charles Seeney, CEO and Founder of NBMI, said the infusion of working capital is important to XetaComp’s product development and commercialization efforts. “There has been tremendous interest in sunVex and related dermal care products, and the timing of this grant is highly meaningful to our success in bringing these products onto the market,” he said.
“The efforts of ONAP and OCAST’s executive director Michael Carolina are achieving significant results in positioning Oklahoma as an emerging leader in nanotechnology,” Seeney said.
NanoBioMagnetics, Inc., with offices and research facilities in Edmond, Oklahoma, is a nanobiomaterials development company pioneering an emerging area of nanomedicine referred to as Organ-Assisting-Device (OAD) technologies. As these healthcare technologies are developed and validated, NBMI’s business model calls for them to be spun off as separate business units for manufacture and commercialization, and XetaComp was organized as the first of these spinoffs.

VR Matching®
TEA Systems Announces the release of a new product for
Process & Tool matching
for sub-65 nm node lithography

Allentown, PA (USA). May 1, 2008 -- TEA Systems announced the release of an unprecedented product that simplifies the most complex tasks in semiconductor process control. VR Matching® provides a simple solution to a complex task by overcoming, the need for many involved analysis techniques along with the obstacles and pitfalls of comparative response studies in semiconductor production.

Many of the core tasks in yield optimization and process control center on the skill and experience of the engineer in handling large amounts of complex data. Process yields key directly on the quality of each engineer’s methodic approach to a solution for each unique problem and often their ability to custom code a general purpose interface such as MathCAD*. With this approach the complexity of each solution rises as it attempts to evolve along with the process and product spectrum of production. In focusing on a single-task solution, the common element in these problems is neglected along with the simplicity of the method. Simplicity is derived from the fact that most process control tasks are based on a comparative analysis of performance and nothing more.

Terrence Zavecz, president of TEA Systems stated:

"The classic example for a comparative analysis need is found in tool matching but many of the greatest process challenges are not even regarded as a comparative analysis. For example the evaluation of ARC or other process film responses, reticle qualification, reticle haze and lens contamination.

Most process control solutions have become overly complex. Process Window models are a good example of evolved over-complexity. Here, along with complexity comes a concurrent loss in the model’s ability to adapt to the subtle nuances and variations now encountered in the sub-65 nm nodes and double-patterning approach. VR Matching provides a powerful, sophisticated but user-simplified and highly automated solution to these and many other comparative analysis tasks."

VR Matching applications include:

•	Tool matching for overlay, registration, double-patterning, focus, etch, CVD, CMP, Electrical Response, Proximity
•	Critical Dimension (CD) and feature profile uniformity analyses across slit, scan, wafer and lot.
•	Reticle haze and Lens Contamination
•	Process Window response matching, centering, optimization and extrapolation without the use of complex polynomial models.
•	Process Correction validation and Split-lot performance.
•	Reticle Effect removal.
•	OPC, proximity correction and depth-of-focus response.

VR Matching supports both Comparative and Difference Matching techniques. The product works seamlessly with other TEA Systems products and calculated difference data can be modeled using Weir PW or the user-customized models of Vector Raptor.

VR Matching uses TEA Standard Data Format workbooks for storage of all data and reports. TEA Systems products provide tools to easily import any format metrology data into the standard format workbooks. There is never a charge for new-format updates. Our products include full support for ASML registration, overlay and FOCAL metrology. Fixed or floating-node licenses are available.

Availability

VR Matching is available May 1, 2008.

VR Matching and Weir PW products run on windows-based computers using Windows XP, Windows 2000, Small Business Server 2003 etc. Pricing starts at a competitive $12,000 USD per seat.

The Nano-Net conference positions itself at the intersection of two worlds, namely, emerging nano-technologies on one-side, and network/communication theory on the other side. The standing question that this conference will address is: What are the new communication paradigms that derive from the transition from micro- to nano-scale devices? The related degrees of freedom and constraints associated with these new technologies will change our notions about efficient network and system design. Nano-Net provides a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion of new techniques in modeling, design, simulation, and fabrication of network and communication systems at the nano-scale.

Sponsors: Create-Net, ICST, EU (IST-FET), ENIAC

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sigma-Aldrich(TM) (Nasdaq: SIAL) is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Nanoco Technologies, Ltd., a nano-materials company based in Manchester, UK, to distribute luminescent quantum dot nanocrystals globally. Under the terms of the agreement, Sigma-Aldrich will distribute research quantities (less than 1 g) of seven core-shell semiconductor quantum dots through the Aldrich(R) Materials Science initiative of its Research Specialties business. The nanocrystals will be marketed and distributed under the brand name Lumidots(TM).

Quantum dots (QDs) are nanometer-sized semiconductor nanoparticles that emit bright, near-monochromatic light (luminesce) under light or electrical stimulation. Emission color can be tuned by choosing nanocrystal size, making QDs ideal luminophors for cutting-edge applications including ultra-thin displays, solid-state lighting, anti-counterfeit protection, and next-generation solar cells. Nanoco developed unique manufacturing methods for making multi-gram quantities of QDs reproducibly and with precise control of size, structure, and luminescence characteristics. The new core-shell Lumidots distributed by Sigma-Aldrich have luminescence colors spanning the entire visible spectrum, in addition to good stability and batch-to-batch consistency essential for research into high-technology applications.

"The new Lumidots are an important addition to our line of nanomaterials products, providing researchers around the world reliable access to high-quality quantum dot nanocrystals. Using these materials, scientists and engineers can focus on developing applications that take advantage of the unique properties of quantum dots. This fits with the main goal of Aldrich Materials Science -- we focus on materials so that our customers can focus on results," said Dr. Ilya Koltover, Product Manager, Aldrich Materials Science.

20 November 2007: For Immediate Release

North Vancouver Company Wins Big with Small Tech

Vancouver: Northwest Mettech Corp. has received a prestigious award for the best new nanotechnology product at the international Small Times NanoCon conference in Santa Clara. Based in North Vancouver, Northwest Mettech’s NanoFeed Liquid Powder Feeder won The Small Times 2007 Best of Small Tech Micro/Nano Tool of the Year award, recognizing the breakthrough nature of their product.

Plasma spray coatings are used worldwide to deliver the highest quality surfaces on components used in jet engines, petrochemical equipment, printing machines and electronic devices. While the increased durability of components using nanomaterials in these coatings has long been recognized, production equipment has not existed, until now, to deliver these ultra-fine powders. By bridging this gap, Mettech has enabled plasma spray equipment to directly deposit nanomaterials for the first time as high performance ceramic coatings. This capability greatly improves the heat, wear, impact, and corrosion resistance of many industrial and aerospace components.

Speaking about the award, Mettech’s CEO, Gary Albach commented, “We are delighted to receive this award, and for our achievement in developing this breakthrough product to be recognized by leading industry experts. The nanotech industry is set for massive expansion, and we are proud to be playing a significant role in this.” Mettech has been developing their feeder in cooperation with the Industrial Materials Institute (IMI) of the National Research Council in Montreal, and holds an exclusive license from IMI for the use of a number of new technologies.

About Northwest Mettech Corp.

Mettech is the leader in highly controlled plasma spray coating solutions that meet the quality and production needs of the aerospace, automotive, pulp and paper, energy and electronics industries. Building on this base, the Company is rapidly expanding into related vertical fields of high-quality fine powder production and nano-engineered coatings. Mettech is a privately owned company established as a UBC spin-off company in 1990 and headquartered in North Vancouver, Canada. It has a Japanese subsidiary in Tokyo and sales representatives in Germany, the U.K., China, and Taiwan.

On July 12, 2007, Ormecon’s CEO Dr. Bernhard Wessling presented the company’s new development, ORGANIC METAL NANOFINISH.
Ormecon’s new Nanofinish is only 50 nanometres thin, and consists of less than 10% Silver and over 90% of Ormecon’s proprietary Organic Nanometal, according to Wessling. The performance and thermal ageing resistance is said to be superior to any metal or OSP finish. Wessling cited several first external test results generated by renowned market players, e.g. Flextronics. The new process will consume less than 10% of the energy compared to other metallic finishes, and will save over 90% of (expensive and partially noble) raw materials, according to Ormecon.

Such other metallic finishes which are outperformed by Ormecon’s new nanofinish, are electroless Nickel-Gold, immersion silver and immersion tin.
