The Division of Physical Science and Engineering at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) invites applications for post-doctoral positions in theoretical condensed matter physics. These positions are full-time and will begin as soon as possible for a one year period, renewable.
The research interest area includes:
-Spin-related phenomena in nanoscale devices (metals, semiconductor and organic)
-Magnetic noise and ultrafast magnetization dynamics
-Energy conversion between spin and charge currents
The successful candidate will pursue numerical and analytical research on the above mentioned topics. The applicant’s creativity will be highly appreciated and strong interactions with theoretical and experimental groups in the Division and abroad are expected. Outstanding academic and research backgrounds as well as good communication skills are required.
Requests for Post-doctoral applications: PhD in Physics or Materials Science, with a deep experience in electronic transport and computational methods. Highly motivated, the applicant will be independent and capable of formulating, planning and carrying out a program of innovative and original research.
To apply: Applicants should submit a letter of interest, a detailed curriculum vitae, a list of publications as well as three references. The letter of interest will explicitly address the qualifications for this position and it will briefly present innovative research projects the candidate wishes to develop during his stay at KAUST. The applications should be submitted by e-mail to Dr Aurelien Manchon email@example.com. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
