Postdoctoral Position in Computational Nanotechnology at UCSD

Postdoctoral Position in Computational Nanotechnology at UCSD

A postdoctoral position is available immediately on the multiscale modeling and simulation of: (1) nanoparticle self-assembly into plasmonic structures, in collaboration with the experimental group of Prof. Andrea Tao, and (2) polymer nanocomposites for shock-wave mitigation, in collaboration with the experimental groups of Prof. Zhibin Guan and Prof. Sia Nemat-Nasser.

For more details about the two projects, please refer to some of our most recent published work posted at our website http://maeresearch.ucsd.edu/arya/.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in the computational sciences and extensive experience in statistical mechanics, molecular dynamics and/or Monte Carlo simulations, computer programming, and polymer modeling.

Interested applicants should send in a brief statement of their research interests and career goals, CV with publications, and three letters of recommendation to Prof. Gaurav Arya at garya@ucsd.edu.
