The Process Technology Research Section within the Energy Systems Division at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a qualified applicant for a postdoctoral position. The candidate will synthesize nanostructured catalysts using atomic layer deposition and characterize and test these catalysts. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in chemistry, materials science or a related field and some experience in relevant thin film and bulk analytical techniques. Applicants must have knowledge on the synthesis of nanostructured materials and in characterizing and testing catalysts. Also required are good skills and experience in X-Ray absorption techniques, good skills in data analysis and interpretation and good skills in working in a team environment.
The position is available immediately for one year with the possibility of extension for subsequent years.
