Angstrom Medica is a development-stage company founded in June 2001 by Edward Ahn, Ph.D., Sudhir Borgonha M.D. and Darren Obrigkeit Ph.D. Angstrom Medica is a spin-off from the Nanostructured Materials Research Laboratory in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The company's mission is to develop and commercialize its proprietary nanotechnology to transform the standard of care in areas of medicine where biomaterial technology drives clinical outcomes. Angstrom Medica's technology platform can be applied to a wide range of medical applications, including orthopedic surgery, drug delivery, and cardiovascular medicine. Our initial products will target orthopedic implants for trauma, reconstructive and plastic surgery.
