Versilant Nanotechnologies (VN) is Southeast Pennsylvania's first materials-based nanotechnology company. Led by Dr. Cynthia Kuper, the company buys raw nanotechnology materials and uses patent-pending processing methods to develop these materials for commercial usage in industries such as avionics, sporting goods, automotive and aerospace.

Cynthia Ann Kuper, at 29, brings the first nanotechnology materials business to the Philadelphia region. Nanotechnology represents a new emerging technology with promise to change many aspects of our lives such as tinier computers, advanced sporting goods, and more fuel-efficient cars using materials that are 100 times stronger than steel (yet weighing 1/6 as much). In fact, former President Clinton deemed nanotechnology the next industrial revolution in his last State of the Union address. Dr. Kuper's company, Versilant Nanotechnologies, aims to become a leader in the industry and provide a surge of growth to the Delaware Valley. Most recently, Versilant Nanotechnologies, won a NASA contract to develop high strength composite materials.
