Dr. Hamilton is a licensed physician holding a joint MD/MBA degree from The Ohio State University. He graduated Magna Cum laude from University of Miami (OH) in 1999 with a B.A. in Biology. He was co-founder of J3 MedTech, a Columbus OH based medical device company, which wrapped up operations in 2004. Prior to co-founding J3, James worked as a biotechnology analyst at Reservoir Venture Partners where he helped build the corporate strategy for several portfolio companies. His primary role at Reservoir was to prepare due diligence documents on the nanotech and biotech industries as related to portfolio companies. James conducted technology due diligence and market research as a consultant for iMEDD Inc. He spent five years studying nanoparticle devices in the lab of Dr. Mauro Ferrari at Ohio State. He completed post-graduate medical training in Emergency Medicine and currently serves as Co-founder and acting president of NanoValent Pharmaceuticals.
