Quantum14 Corp., founded in Dec. 2002, is a spin-out company dedicated to develop and commercialize “Porous Silicon” technology which is generated with the academic research of Koshida laboratory of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. Porous Silicon technology is based on the anodization technique for creating porous silicon with prescribed pore sizes ranging from nanometer to macroscopic scales.
Quantum14 's objective is to develop a series of products from its platform technology. The Porous Silicon technology is finding new application fields extending from novel electron-emitter applications for flat-panel displays to biochip applications for DNA sequencing.

Quantum14 has been a leader of commercializing the Porous Silicon technology. We have established relationships with some of the major electronics companies including Matsushita Electric Works, Hitachi, etc. We have also built alliances with National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) and Nagoya University. We will further seek new alliances with some of the top leaders in the medical device & bio industries around the globe where our complimentary strengths can create enhanced value.
