AllMagTM Superparamagnetic Nanoparticles
1.AllMag SM1-015 is a silica superparamagnetic nanoparticle, which is designed for nucleic acid purification. These nanoparticles have a core-shell structure of magnetite-rich core and inorganic silica shell, with large numbers of silanol groups on the surface. They are available as aqueous suspensions and are important in the applications like DNA or RNA purification and immunoassays. By mixing with a chaotropic substance and a nucleic acid-binding solid phase (silica), nucleic acid (not protein) can be rapidly isolated from materials, such as serum or cell lysates.
2.AllMag PM3-008 is composed of aqueous suspension of superparamagnetic nanoparticles coated with a polymer matrix. The nanoparticles are modified to provide carboxyl group permitting the covalent attachment of proteins or ligands onto the surface of the nanoparticles. The carboxyl nanoparticles can be used as affinity supports for applications such as separation, purification, bioassays and biosensors.
3.AllMag™ MS-14 is a multifunctional magnetic separator made from an injection molded plastic housing incorporating a high-energy neodymium-iron-boron [Nd-Fe-B] magnet . AllMag TM MS-14 is designed to accommodate standard microtubes (1.5ml, 2ml, 15ml or 50ml) for a complete range of magnetic separation applications, including cell sorting, mRNA and DNA isolation, and purification of biomolecules. Magnetic separations can be performed on fourteen 1.5ml or 2ml microtubes simultaneously. Once the microtubes are placed in the tube holders, the magnetic n anoparticles are pulled to the side of the unit to complete a separation in less than one minute. Upon completion of the separation, the supernatant may be aspirated, leaving the magnetic nanoparticles as a pellet on the side of the tube. Also, if you remove the magnet, the stand can be used for a common microtube stand.
