Long description :

The 2007 Statewide Conference on Nanotechnology, organized by Austin Community College in cooperation with SEMATECH, provides a forum for educators, business leaders, and policy makers to learn about the emerging field of nanoscience and technology, how to incorporate nanotopics into science education curriculum, and encourage economic development within their community.

Distinguished speakers and experts in the nanotechnology field will discuss key topics, including current advances related to biomedical applications, energy generation and utilization, defense applications, and the electronics/semiconductor industry.

Properties of nanomaterials, tools and processes utilized in industry, and consumer applications will be addressed, as well as economic development, environmental and societal factors and other related topics.
