Air quality is one of the basic elements of a healthy environment being therefore one of the major priorities in environmental policy and legislation. Scientific studies show that the smallest particles are the most harmful ones, since they can directly penetrate to the human blood circulation. Within the field of ambient and indoor air quality, there has been an increasing focus on small particles, measured in microns or even nanometers.

Dekati aims to improve the quality of human life and wants to support industry in its struggle to achieve cleaner and more cost efficient processes requiring precise fine particle control and information. Dekati´s core competence and expertise is in the design and manufacture of innovative fine particle measuring and sampling devices.

The breakthrough innovation of Dekati Ltd is the Electrical Low Pressure Impactor (ELPI), developed in co-operation with Tampere University of Technology. ELPI is capable of measuring fine particle concentrations and size distribution in real time.
