Long description :

SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION 2007
1st European Conference & Exhibition on integration issues of miniaturized systems –
MEMS, MOEMS, ICs and electronic components

Paris, 27 – 28 March 2007

Scope and structure of the conference
As replacing event of the well-known MICRO SYSTEM Technologies Conference & Exhibition held since 1990 SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION is the international communication platform for manufacturers and research institutes to exchange know-how on integration issues of miniaturized systems and to create a basis for successful research co-operations with focus on Europe.

European industry and science experts will discuss current issues, applications and visions related to Smart Systems Integration in an international environment.

Conference topics
- Design of smart systems, component design and simulation
- Microsystems packaging and system integration
- Advanced MEMS and MOEMS technologies
- Assembly and interconnect technologies
- Nano structures and devices
- Reliability, testing and quality of components and systems
- Materials for micro- and nanosystems
- Products, equipment and services
- Commercialization and infrastructure
- Special aspects of integration for automotive, aerospace, logistics,
life science, RF and bio applications
- Sustainability of smart systems

Organizer and supporting organizations
The international committee of SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION consists of an international committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Thomas Gessner, Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration, Berlin, Germany. Co-Chair is Dr. Bernard Barbier, Laboratoire d'Electronique de Technologie de l'Information, Grenoble, France.
SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION is part of the activities of EPoSS, the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration.
Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH is the organizer of SMART SYSTEMS INTEGRATION.

The concurrent exhibition
The conference is accompanied by an exhibition where R&D institutes, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, producers of sub-assemblies, components and systems in the sectors microsystems and nanotechnology, microelectronics, micromechanics, sensor technology and wireless communication face a well-informed and interested expert audi-ence comprising of users and researchers.
