PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Cantisens Research Cantilever Sensor Platform
Cantisens Research is an innovative cantilever sensor platform designed to support leading edge scientific research and industrial application development.
Using customized chemical sensing layers, Cantisens Research can be employed for a wide range of scientific and industrial applications.
The stand-alone system offers parallel, label-free detection of up to eight different substances or biomolecular interactions.
It combines a multi-purpose cantilever sensor platform with powerful measurement electronics and easy-to-use control and evaluation software.
Cantisens Cantilever Arrays
High quality nanomechanical silicon cantilever arrays for static and dynamic mode measurements are available in different geometries.
Static mode cantilever arrays are ideally suited for all applications, where extremely small forces have to be detected, such as in chemical and biochemical sensing or nano-calorimetry.
Dynamic mode cantilever arrays are designed for the detection of small mass changes on the cantilever surface through measurung the changes in resonance frequency.
Precision manufacturing assures extremely high product accuracy and excellent mechanical properties. Variations of less than 1% between cantilevers on a single array are typical - a key for reliable and reproducible experiments, which is appreciated by leading research groups world-wide.
Cantisens Functionalisation Unit
With the Cantisens FU-401, Concentris offers a fast and easy way to functionalise cantilever arrays with proven capillary technique. Using a precision micromanipulator, the cantilevers are inserted into glass capillaries, which are filled with the functionalisation liquid. Up to four cantilevers within an array can be functionalised simultaneously.
Cantilever Sensor Technology
Nanomechanical cantilevers are very small and extremely sensitive force and mass detectors. By coating (functionalising) their surface with a material that selectively adsorbs or binds a given target substance cantilevers can be converted into highly sensitive and selective chemical sensors or biosensors.
When a target substance comes into contact with a functionalised cantilever surface, the resulting chemical reaction is converted into a mechanical response - the cantilever bends and changes its resonance frequency.
No fluorescent or radioactive labelling is necessary for realtime detection or quantification of the target substance.
