Zip: 76019 The NanoFab Research & Teaching Facility features a 10,000-square-foot, Class 1000 clean room that is divided into four areas of specialization. Several additional measurement laboratories with complete instrumentation are also located in the facility. The University of Texas at Arlington is home to the preeminent university-based nanotechnology research, development and teaching facility in North Texas. Dedicated in 2001 by Nobel laureate Jack Kilby (pictured at left on an opening day tour), inventor of the integrated circuit, the Nanotechnology Research & Teaching Facility provides faculty, student and corporate engineers and scientists with the state-of-the-art equipment and interdisciplinary support needed to conduct investigations on and fabricate nano-scale materials, devices, electronics and structures. |
