Ion-containing polymers, also known as ionomers or polyelectrolytes, have many important applications in a variety of technologies. We have demonstrated success in the design and synthesis of a new class of simple and versatile ionomers that have a wide array of useful characteristics, including excellent ion conduction, ion-exchange capability, moisture transfer, and anti-fouling properties. These materials are derived from the sulfonation of aryl containing block copolymers. They block copolymers phase-separate on a nanoscopic scale forming nano-domains that are interconnected, affording excellent ionic conductivity and water transport. Our polymers can be covalently crosslinked and compounded with a variety of other polymers and/or inorganic fillers, and thus represent the basis for a broad class of materials with unique properties and applications.

Our first commercial application is a moisture transfer membrane for a heating, ventilation,and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The brand name for this membrane product is ConsERV.

Dais Analytic Corporation is positioned to be the leader in high performance products in a variety of applications using its patented nano structured composite polymer eletrolyte materials.

Dais Analytic’s patented polymer platform has applications in (1) moisture transfer uses such as HVAC, water desalination, and drying/moisture transfer products, (2) electrochemical uses including super capacitors, electrolyzer, acid battery separator products, and fuel cells, (3) clothing uses to repel or retain moisture and bio-terror materials, and (4) anti-fouling marine applications.

Dais Analytic's lead commercial product is a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, branded ‘ConsERV™’. ConsERV is a membrane based energy recovery ventilator (ERV) that recovers energy from building’s stale air exhaust stream and uses it to pre-condition incoming fresh air. Third party results show ConsERV reduces (1) HVAC equipment capital expenses by up to 30%, (2) decreases operating costs up to 35%, and (3) improves Indoor Air Quality for all types of commercial, industrial and residential HVAC systems.

Key current repeat customers of ConsERV include Walgreen and independent representatives. Utilities (Florida Power and Light, Progress Energy, and NSTAR (to name a few) are offering significant product incentives given ConsERV’s advances in energy conservation. The product is UL listed and ARI (industry) certified.
