Building on the fruits of more than a decade of proprietary research, Nanoplex Technologies focuses on developing and commercializing products based on novel metal nanoparticles and nanoparticle-based surfaces. The unique physical, chemical, and optical properties of these nanomaterials make them ideally suited to meet growing needs in:

Life science research (multiplexed bioassays and multiplexed detection)

Portable, real-time detection of small, organic molecules in water and air (ultrasensitive molecular ID)

Robust, nanoscale tagging for authentication and tracking (next generation barcoding/AutoID).

Nanoplex's core competencies include (i) nanoparticle synthesis; (ii) techniques to attach biomolecules to nanoparticles and nanoparticles to surfaces; (iii) using the resulting particles and/or surfaces in analytical or bioanalytical measurements; and (iv) development of optical instrumentation and software for nanoparticle detection and quantitation.
Nanoplex has developed a powerful technology in its Nanobarcodes particles, which will serve as the foundation for products used to help identify and/or tag molecules and the cornerstone in non-biological tagging and auto-id applications.
