Nanotech Partners I Limited Partnership has launched on September 2001 as the first private equity fund with global focus exclusively on nanotechnology sponsored by Mitsubishi Corporation. Current fund size is JPY 5.4 (approximately USD 45 million) with commitments by companies including Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Honjo Chemical Corporation.

The objective of the fund is to generate long-term capital gains for its investors through global investments in creating new business by utilizing nanotechnology. The fund is globally managed by Nanotech Partners Limited, Japanese Corporation, together with Fullerene International Corporation, U.S. Corporation.
