The Nanopolis’ content is presented in two formats, Offline and Online. The Offline Multimedia Resources are based on the CD-ROM and downloadable format of the three Nanopolis multimedia encyclopedias: “Exploring Matter with Neutrons” devoted to neutron science and solid state physics, “Exploring Nanotechnology”, conceived to provide an understanding of nanotechnology and its implications and “Exploring Matter with Synchrotron Light” concerned by synchrotron facilities. Each of the 3 volumes presents phenomena occurring at atomic scale, their applications and exploratory techniques.

On the other hand, the Online Multimedia Library is the Internet access to the content of Nanopolis World of Knowledge. It allows unlimited explorations of more than 3000 ingenious and explicit multimedia animations and pages describing concepts and methods used by emerging scientific and technological trends at the atomic scale as well as topics from many other fields of physics, chemistry, biology etc. The online information is available when connected to Internet, having a free area of access and also an area only for subscribers.
