Glocap Search was founded in 1997 by Adam Zoia to serve the private equity, venture capital and hedge fund marketplaces. In order to facilitate easy and frequent communication with both active and passive job seekers, Glocap deployed a then unique and proprietary email-based model whereby candidates and potential candidates received weekly emails specifying the various searches in which Glocap was engaged. Through the forwarding of these email newsletters and word of mouth, and without any advertising, Glocap's candidate database grew within the tightly knit, alternative asset community, and Glocap became the dominant executive search firm in the private equity, venture capital and hedge fund marketplace, working with more than 600 such firms around the country as of the end of the year 2000. Glocap now places more investment professionals into private equity, leveraged buyout, venture capital, hedge fund and asset management firms than any other search firm. Glocap recruits at all levels, from Analyst to General Partner, and in all parts of the US, Canada, and in major cities in Europe and Asia.
