I am looking for Ph.D. students in Nanotechnology and MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) to pursue their degrees in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program at the University of Miami. They will be conducting research in Biomedical Nanotechnology with a nationally renowned group of scientists in our state-of-the-art lab facilities at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, as members of the Biomedical Nanoscience Program.

Skills required are: 1. Working experience in nanotechnology (nanowire growth, characterization, nanoparticles, etc.) 2. Hands-on clean room experience (photolithography, etching, deposition, microscopy, etc.) 3. Experience in using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software for engineering

Candidates should have Master’s degrees in Electrical/Computer Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.

Interested candidates with degrees in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or Biochemistry are also encouraged to apply.

Competitive Graduate Assistantships, with full tuition waivers, are available for qualified students.
