India: Ph.D students for nano solar research

The candidate will be required to work in developing state of the art technologies for thin film-based nanostructured energy storage devices. Applicants should have an M.Sc/MTech degree with first class in either Physics/Chemistry /Materials Science/Electronics Engineering. The proposed start date is Jan.1, 2011. Selected PhD candidates will be fully funded with a Junior Research Fellowship as per the UGC norms.

Amrita Center for Nanosciences (ACNS) is one of the premier research institutes in Nanosciences and nanotechnology. ACNS is one of the first Centres for Excellence for Solar Energy under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and is also funded by a Centre grant from the Department of Science and Technology(DST)- Government of India under India’s Nanomission and another Centre grant from NATAG,DST.
