Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing composites and nancomposites including design, analysis, fabrication, and testing, custom design and operation of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) furnaces, manufacturing and post-processing of various forms of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and their inclusions in polymers and composites to develop high-performance multifunctional nanocomposites, testing of the developed composites and nanocomposites based on ASTM Standards, development of technical reports and presentations as well as patent documents and research papers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines; knowledge of accessory design and operation of CVD furnaces; familiarity with the growth of CNTs; familiarity with the manufacturing of composites and nanocomposites; familiarity with machining and testing of composites; programming as well as engineering software experience; familiarity with Macintosh and IBM Environment; proficiency with MS Word, Power Point, and Excel; familiarity with LabView, MatLab, Solid Works, and ANSYS (Solid Modeling and Finite Element Analysis).
