Applicants are invited for a PostDoc position, in our Chemical Biology group at the Life and Medical Sciences (LIMES) Institute at the University of Bonn/Germany. You will join an interdisciplinary team, working in the innovative fields of aptamers and DNA-nanotechnology. The position is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) and will be engaged in the development of molecular machines based on interlocked DNA-architectures.

Qualification

The optimal candidate holds a Ph.D. in chemistry (or related a discipline) and has a strong theoretical and practical background in organic synthesis, in particular in the field of oligonucleotides and analogues. We expect the successful candidate to contribute to the realisation of ingenious, functional DNA-architectures. An excellent publication record is mandatory.

How to Apply

Application deadline is 18th of February. The position is open from March 2011 and will be granted for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of later extension. Salary is at E13 level according to the TV-L scale.
