Wollen Sie folgende Aufgaben bei uns übernehmen?
In this position you will provide Water, Waste-Water and Environmental Protection expertise and support throughout the Merck Group. You will define a strategic approach to Water and Waste-Water management and Environmental Protection with its financial implications on business. You will define, acquire and collect data on process Water, Waste-Water and Environmental Protection (Key Performance Indicators). You will maintain, expand and nurture the Advocacy Steering Committee and its task within the Merck Group. You will develop EHS Standards, EHS Procedures and EHS Good Practice for the Merck Group by taking worldwide Water, Waste-Water or other environmental developments like e.g. Nanotechnology into account. You will set and monitor Water, Waste-Water and Environmental Protection targets. You will initiate, measure and organize interdisciplinary projects. You will maintain, expand and nurture the network of EHS specialists. You will conduct EHS Audits in the Merck Group. You will initiate and maintain strategic partnerships with other companies and participate in committees in and outside of the Merck Group (Associations).

Bringen Sie diese Voraussetzungen mit?
You have a degree in chemical or process engineering sciences and many (10) years of experience in EHS and related areas of expertise (preferably in pharmaceutical and/or chemical industry). You have in-depth knowledge at least of European Water, Waste-Water and Environmental laws; with this regard in-depth knowledge about pharmaceutical/chemical production processes and the today discussion about active pharmaceutical ingredients in the Waste-Water. You are an expert regarding Advocacy activities in industrial committees and with proven expertise in working within Associations (e.g. VCI, CEFIC, VfA, EFPIA etc.). You are able to develop and implement Group-wide regulations from a corporate centre. You have a strong commitment to EHS excellence. You have experience in international projects and in working in a matrix organization. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English); working knowledge of German and other languages would be an advantage – at least three years of experience as an expatriate or working abroad. You are willing to undertake travel (about 20 – 25%). You are a team-player with strong intercultural competence. You are a diplomatic and self-confident individual with a strong customer orientation.
