Croatian physicist Dr. Aleksandra Radenovic has received two million Euros from the European Research Council to continue her promising investigations in nanotechnology.
The 34-year-old scientist is the first Croatian to receive this prestigious award, the daily Jutarnji List writes. She is one of the 15 per cent of 2,873 candidates that had been selected as recipients.
Radenovic currently works as an assistant professor at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, where she plans to continue her work.
The grant will enable her to enlarge her team of students who are currently working with her on three projects in the fields of nanotechnology and biophysics.
