The Morph Mobile Phone from 2033 – I’ve heard about this cell phone idea before. I think morphing properties would be great, but I’m not too keen on something that could “capture my thoughts and documenting them.” That’s kind of creepy and in my eyes, is highly invasive. I think that we really need to draw the line with some technologies and how far we are willing to go just to make life seem a little bit easier. Nevertheless, this idea of a morphing phone certainly holds some potential. Undoubtedly, teens would love it.

Wind-powered cell phones – interestingly, I just spotted a news report this morning about a wind powered mp3 charger. The device was small, had a fan, and was being displayed at an electronic show. I’m sure that cell phone manufacturers will definitely hope on this bandwagon if they can figure out how to make it work well.

The windup cell phone…I see problems with this already. All you will have to do is over-wind the device to break it. Hopefully, they will have safety mechanisms in place to prevent over-winding the device.

I wonder how much research has been conducted on the products. Have they been thoroughly tested for their safety to pets for the short term and long term. I’m all for better products that can improve the lives of domestic animals, but I would feel more confident about the product if I knew more about how much research has gone into its creation. People see their pets as part of their family and they should be as concerned about the affects of nanotechnology on household pets as they would be if they were buying something containing nanomaterials for a person.

This product has some rather disturbing implications despite the fact that so many people are illustrating interest in the product. First, how can the Viagra be controlled if it is soaking through someone’s skin? Is there a potential for overdose if one lays in bed too long? How does the drug remain in the sheets if they are washed and if the sheets are washed with other linens or materials will the drugs wash off and go onto other materials? What happens if the Viagra produces side effects on the individual using the sheets? Moreover, how will the drug affect females, if at all. In addition, what about allergic responses? There are a lot of question that need to be addressed before this product could be commercialized safely and successfully.
